Blueberry Banana Tofu Smoothies

Maybe it's bad, but I didn't tell my husband that Tofu was in his smoothie until he tried it. He doesn't usually like tofu. This time he liked it, so I told him. I wanted something that had a lot of good things in it because our son Isaak has been on a feeding, drinking strike. He's had a slight fever for two days and has been pretty moody.

Ingredients:

 

 

**I thought about adding probiotics to Isaak's smoothie since he's been under the weather. I didn't because he hasn't been drinking much. I thought that he may not finish his. As it turns out, he didn't finish it. I'm going to add that usually Isaak's a good eater. He really just doesn't feel good.

Preparation:

• Drain the soft tofu to remove excess water.
• You can use fresh fruit, but it will make the smoothie more runny.
• Blend the banana, tofu and milk for 30 seconds. 
• Add the frozen blueberries, honey and ice cubes and process until smooth.

Emergen-C

I have drank Emergen-C for a long time. I think I started drinking them when I was in high school, which was prior to 1994.  I drink them when I'm feeling low in energy. It's just full of vitamins. I love that the powder can be drank warm or cool. When I have a cold I just don't feel like drinking just water. By drinking Emergen-C, you have to add water. I know I'm getting extra fluids that my body needs.

Who doesn't like Olive Garden? I love it!

Tips to make your experience healthier:

• Have them keep the dressing on the side. 
• Split a meal. I often times eat 1/2 a meal. Then I save the other 1/2 for lunch the next day. I could split the meal with my husband, but he's not watching what he eats.
• Don't eat so many bread sticks!

Lavish and Lime

I most certainly lavish over most the things this company sells!

Just a few things I think are cool:

I heart basil and popsicles. Not together of course.

My husband tried his own hydroponic grow system and the plant didn't make it. It could have just been a bad plant. I've love to try it again.

I've been making popsicles like crazy this summer. If we have extra juice from the juicer they go right into popsicles. My molds aren't BPA free, and the ones at Lavish and Lime are.
